Hi Cupcakes... so I have a new blog in addition but separate from Cupcake Provocateur. Cooking with Elegance is something I have been wanting to start for quite sometime. On a personal level I love cooking and the aesthetics of presentation. My goal is to combine flavor and style and share my stories, ideas and musings along the way. This will be a very interactive blog.... I want anyone that is interested to share their feedback, ideas, recipes and hostess tips as well.

Custom Peacock Apron

Congratulations to Lisa Chen on winning 2010's Cupcake Provocateur design your own apron contest, sponsored by Bake and Destroy! Lisa designed a very whimsical peacock apron, that was certainly original, almost like a piece of art.

I thought our readers would like to see how the real life version looks like. I had a allot of fun bringing Lisa's design to life!

I can't wait to see the entries for this years competition (happening later this year)!!

Plus, doing anything in a gorgeous apron is simply more glamourous. Any household chores, from baking to oil changes,all need to get done so wouldn't you rather feel like a babe while you're at it? I most certainly prefer it that way!
